Jarrett ran his first Cup Series race in 1984, and captured the Winston Cup Championship in 1999, becoming only the second father-and-son duo to win a championship (the Pettys were the others).
He is a three-time Daytona 500 champion, winning the “Great American Race” in 1993, 1996, and 2000.
