In the family: For David Stremme racing is a family business. Not only was his father Lou a racer but his mother Cindy could wheel her way around a racetrack as well. Stremme started out by working on his parent's race cars before he got behind the wheel of a car himself. Then in 2004 the family business expanded as Stremme became a car owner for his brother Bobby in the ASA Late Model Series. He attended LaSalle High School with fellow dodge driver Ryan Newman. He is currently single, but possibly working on a relationship.single.
Career highlights:
- Stremme won the 2003 Busch Series Rookie of the Year award, despite only competing in 18 of the 34 races.
- Much of his Busch Series career was documented on the Speed reality television show, NBS: 24/7.
- He made his Cup series debut in 2005, driving a couple of races in preparation for his first full season in 2006. His finishes in ’05 were mostly disappointing, with his highest finish being 16th.
