Career highlights:

  • In 2004, Hamlin ran a series of Craftsman Truck Series races, and caught the eye of Gibbs, who signed him to a contract.

  • In 2005, he ran a full season in the Busch Series, coming in fifth in the final standings. Late in the season, Hamlin made his Nextel Cup debut, and recorded three top ten finishes in just seven starts, and captured a pole at Phoenix International Raceway.

2006 so far...
  • In 2006 he began his first full-season in the Nextel Cup, where he is competing forwon Rookie of the Year honors. He won his first and second Nextel Cup RaceRaces inat Pocono . Made the Poconochase 500.
