Favorite NASCAR Memory
Okay race fans, what is your favorite NASCAR memory? Was it when you first saw your favorite driver win a race? Attending a NASCAR race for the first time? What does NASCAR mean to you? Let's share our favorite memories, memories made through NASCAR!
- I've made so many memories, I don't think I can narrow it down to one, so here is a brief summary of some.....attending first NASCAR race in 2004 at TMS, camping and living the whole experience for the first time in 2005....meeting the SPEED channel crew who are now good friends...getting my cowboy hat signed by LOTS of great drivers/people in the business, Sterling Marlin giving me and my friends beer at Speed Stage, carrying Texas Terry to his motorcoach, meeting the 8 crew, meeting the 99 crew, meeting Elliot Sadler and hanging out with him....gee, I could go on forever. So many memories have been made. I have great friends and we've all shared lots of special times together during NASCAR weekends, whether they are at the track or at home at someone's house.
- SillyLins - My favorite memories are spending a Sunday with my family enjoying the race. I've also really enjoyed the past 2 Daytona 500s with Jimmie and Jeff winning. I love my Hendrick cars!!
- Tuhy - My favorite memories are watching the haulers enter the tunnel at Las Vegas almost four years ago, The Strip every year which includes the NASCAR Cafe and the Stratosphere, Jimmie winning, TWICE!!! Oh, and getting Jimmie's autograph. I won Jimmie Johnson Jenga to get the ticked. That was memorable, when the turn of the girl that I played against came, it fell over. She got a ticket also, only because the blocks hit her in the head. I guess I can say that I'll be back to Vegas this March. GO HENDRICK MOTORSPORTS!!!

Hey Nathan,
Seems like you have a lot of great stories. I can't wait to go to a race around here next year. I'd love to go to Lowe's more than Darlington though. How did you get Jimmie's autograph? That must have been amazing :-) Lindsey |

I was sitting in a prime spot in turn 4 of Martinsville - great view of the whole track. On the last lap, Dale Sr. was leading and Rusty was right behind him as they passed me. When they came out of the turn, they made contact. Dale spun, Rusty passed him, Dale did a complete 360 on the final straightaway without hitting anything and still got 2nd! That, my friend, is racing at its best.
