A little bit about the drivers
Jeff Gordon:
Jimmie Johnson:
Kyle Busch:
- Jeff Gordon has a racing link to Richard Petty. Gordon's first Cup race, in Nov. 1992 at Atlanta, was Petty's last.
- In '98 Gordon also equaled NASCAR's all-time winningest driver for the most victories in a season in the Modern Era (1972-present) with 13.
Jimmie Johnson:
- Jimmie Johnson has been winning championships since the age of 8.
- In six full NASCAR seasons, Johnson has finished in the top 10 in points in each of them, including the top five in all four of his Nextel Cup years.
- After consecutive second-place finishes, Johnson went into the final race of 2005 in second place before a cut tire ended his title hopes. He finished fifth in points.

If Earnhardt ends up in the number 5 car I will burn my jacket. The only reason Hendrick took Earnhardt was because of the big money backing him NOT because of his driving.

Are you going to take the number 8 with you next season? The reason I am asking is because I have bought one of your Earnhardt cars with the number 8 on it and I really love it everyone here in the town where I live thinks that it is a race car and it looks sharp. I don't want to change the number on it cause this is how I bought it with all the budwiser and even your name above both doors. Please let me know if you are going to stay with the number 8. My email is chancy101027@yahoo.com I can send you a picture of the car if you would like.
Thank you. |
