Jeremy Mayfield
Born: May 27, 1969 in Owensboro, Kentucky
Career highlights:
- Mayfield has five career Cup victories, and surprised many by qualifying for the first two Chase for the Championships in 2004 and 2005.
- 2006 has been disappointing so far for Mayfield, who has struggled with consistency and remains in the back of the pack. He was releised from Evernham Motorsports half way through the year. He is married to Shana Mayfield.
- 2007 was a rough year again. He made a few starts for Bill Davis and was released from that team as well at the end of the year.
- 2008 was supposed to be a comeback year as Mayfield took the wheel of Hass-CNC Racings No.70 car. He was replaced by a multitude of drivers after the No.70 car fell out of the top 35 in owners points, he did not find another ride, despite testing for Chip Ganassi.
