Texas Motor Speedway, a 1.5-mile quad-oval in Fort Worth, joined the NASCAR circuit in 1997, and added a second Cup race in 2005. That second race is the 34th of the 36 races, right in the heart of the Chase for the Championship.

Been to a race here? Click EasyEdit above to write about it!TMS is an awesome race track. Of course I havent been anywhere else, I might sound a little partial. The track is very clean and kept up for the drivers and fans. The track is very fast and two turns that sometimes get very slick. Your best seat without paying a fortune is a little before the start finish or a little before, you want to set about the middle so you can see the whole track and pit stops, they also have two screans on each side of the track for up close action. Of cours Jr is the one that almost everyone roots for, you see alot of red in the stands. The food is outragious and not that good, but you can buy things before you go into the gate or bring your own food and drink or jello shots whatever suits you. I still think they need to build a track in Midland Texas, it could be called Mid-cities Speedway, or West Texas Speedway, our weather is perfect almost year round.
Where to stay: you will need to make reservations at least 8 to 10 months ahead of the race or you will have to stay in another subberb. We reccomend The Holiday Inn in Weatherford, very nice and clean if you are heading West or of course we have several new motels just build around loop 250 if you are traveling towards El Paso
