I knew you would do it again, why don't you give those engine builders hell or do you just not care anymore and just want out of there ? Your engine builders are sad, good thing you did not get into the chase, that would be a joke with your engine record ! 5  out of 10 found this valuable. Do you?

I would guess that he doesn't care all that much about it anymore. He is driving like hell though. it's nice to see. 3  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

I would like to see jr. do well he has a good attitude never liked his old man but I did like to watch him race. He should get after his engine builders. No other racer would stand for the amount of engine failures. The only driver with a worse DNF record would be Morgan Shepard. They don't hand out many points for finishing 40 th. 4  out of 6 found this valuable. Do you?

Now I was a Sr. fan. Next year is a new ballgame for Jr. and I bet he will do fantastic. I don't think he will need to worry so much about blown engines. I am curious as to why Martin Truex Jr. hasn't blown nearly any this year...(or that I can recall) 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Truex has exhausted a few this year I think the number is three. I can not remember the ones early in the year but the last one was major with the bottom end failure. I also believe Jr. is rougher on a motor than Truex. As far as a Sr. fan I was not, I prefer drivers that race cleaner like Jr. and win with their driving talent, anyone can wreck their competition to stay in the front. 3  out of 5 found this valuable. I understand what you mean about Sr. but I cannot, cannot stand the "robotic" nature that most of the drivers walk around like now. There seems to be less and less passion.

How many engines have blown for Jr., aren't we up to 9 now? I do think he drives completely more aggressive than Truex.

Jr has had 5 major melt downs that I know of this year and multiple other engine/miscellaneous pump problems. I should say that I think his dad was a very talented and great racer but to many times it was not talent that put him in victory lane. He just raced dirty more often than not. Everyone jumps on Montoya or anyone else for taking someone out, but on the other hand they cheer Sr. ( go figure ) 5  out of 6 found this valuable. Do you?

I CANNOT agree with you more on Montoya... people beat him up every chance they get. It pisses me off. 3  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

Sorry Truex I think I screwed you up. I said to my wife I hope Denny runs out of gas when he drove by the pits on the last caution (Dennys good drivin is reaching his head). I never thought he would run out when he stomped it down on the restart. Was rooting for you and especially for JR so he could go out this year giving the crew that he is leaving behind some more good memories. His wheel falling off was sad and funny as hell at the same time. If I was him I would never waste any money on Lottery tickets (as if he needs to win). Better luck next week. And I bet their is a dent under the gas pedal from Jr's restart right before the wheel passed him.
I was a little upset they didn't keep a camera on the wheel to see how it finished, It was movin pretty good when it passed him.

Denny Hamlin's car barked and stalled down on the restart from being low on fuel, the car right behind him I think was Clint in the 07 moved quickly to the side then all Truex saw was the bumper of a stalled car in front of him when his foot was down through the floor board. Cars on both sides of him and being pushed into Hamlin at restart speed with a run going. 2  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

Well I saw that! But I never once thought that Truex made the error. I don't think he even saw the whole thing coming. (obviously) I think he was a victim of circumstance. 2  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I don't mean to get testy but according to your bio, your wife died before Denny ran out of gas and before Jr lost a tire. What should I believe? Your bio or your comment?
You write many interesting blogs but something about them leaves me wondering just who are you. I like Jeff Gordon and Junior and Denny. Why do you say things what maybe aren't the exact truth?

The lady I am now is a true Nascar fan and I consider her my wife and sometimes even introduce her that way although there is nothing official. I met her during a Darlington race two years ago. She even hung around through the rain out this year and we went back the next day on Mothers day. As far as drivers go I thought Jeff was screwed out of a championship this year by the points system, I can't remember anyone having a season like he did. Jimmy is a true racer even in baha racing. He can tough it out. Its not to my liking Jr. went to Hendricks team this year but it may be four the best. If I had a pick for true race car drivers it would be for Robbie Gordan, I truly think he is one of the most all around talented drivers out there. Being a small one car team puts a lot of stress on a driver owner and his resources are not those of other teams. I like also when Clint Boyer is running up front. I hope he keeps the fire going. I never liked Dale Sr. I thought he was a dirty driver although he was entertaining.
It was a very emotional time when Sr. passed I saw the flowers and tears at Nascar cafe for several days after the race. The garage also was very quiet, business was not as usual. Its amazing the respect and love that fans had for one driver.

It will not be Jr's ass on the line at the beginning of the season it will be Tony Jr.'s butt that will be in the hot seat. If Jr doesn't perform Tony Jr. will be looking for a job.. 4  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

If Nascar doesn't do some kind of rear end gear change their will be a few engines letting go in this years Daytona. As far as the race goes It wouldn't be surprise me at all to see Michael Waltrip go from the dog house to the master bedroom at the end of the day. 3  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?
